This question of diet on safari has become more and more popular given the situations of persons. Most people have changed their eating behavior to much more lighter or keto diet. Some it’s not because they are keeping their bodies in shape, it’s because of heath `issues that are forcing a change in diet.

Regardless of the diet plan and changed people is still much in love with traveling and will soon find it hard or easy when it comes to what they will eat on safari.

You will find organically cultivated and freshly served fruits. Avocado, pears, oranges, apples, bananas, pawpaw’s,  pineapples, cucumbers, grapes, lemons, tangerines and so on. Getting these fruits you will not need any hustle they are easily available and cheap.

Whether fresh or dry, the most available nuts include groundnuts, coconuts. While the almond nuts are cashew nuts are only in supermarkets. These ones you will need to be specific with the lodge or buy and travel with them.

Vegetables are everywhere in all shapes, colors and some are very free. In Uganda we do not serve food with gout greens or vegetables as to some f our cultures it is soup served with other foods like plantain and dodo.

In cases of diabetic or low sugar diets, unripe plantain porridge dish is perfect for vacationers on a diabetic diet. When it comes to meats from fresh, boiled, grilled, sautéed, fried, baked to roasted; meat can be prepared. Chicken, Fish is also available. However much we have fish and in different types we may not be having the sardines or tuna’s very fresh as we also import.
